Paint and sip franchise Wine & Design offers a dynamic opportunity for prospective franchisees, and it is proving it means business with a brand-new headquarters facility in its founding city of Raleigh, North Carolina.

The new 2,700-square-foot space will be on the top floor of the Raleigh Union Station at 510 W Martin Street in the city’s Warehouse District. In terms of design, the space will sport an industrial look for a “modern chic” vibe, Franchise Sales Manager Sheri Hill said, with large glass windows
that give way to a beautiful view of the Raleigh skyline. The studio opens to the public December 2019.

“The new space will provide great visibility for the Wine & Design brand and hold our headquarters, a training facility and a studio,” Hill said. “It will look like other Wine & Design studios, but with more flair and decorative accent pieces.”

Crucially, the space will serve as an impressive backdrop for new franchisees as they learn the ropes in an environment similar to the one they’ll soon be running. It will also provide the corporate team a space in which to pilot projects, campaigns and other resources before they are rolled out to the entire franchise system. Above all, the Wine & Design team is excited for the
space to exude a professionalism that defies the images of messy, paint-splattered chaos that art studios typically evoke.

“It’s really nice to move on to the next step of our development through a more grown-up space that provides resources and tools for prospective and new franchisees to come and get a feel for what it will be like to be in a studio of their own,” Hill said.

“Everyone who enters the new space will get to see, touch and feel the brand. It will be artsy and professional, the best of both worlds.”

By opening this new space, Wine & Design also aims to reinvest in the city of Raleigh, where the brand was founded in 2010. Wine & Design CEO Harriet Mills is thrilled with what the new space means for the brand and for the homage it will pay to the city.

“I took a huge leap of faith when I started Wine & Design back in 2010,” Mills said. “My goal was to create a fun and rewarding business in which people of all ages, including children, could enjoy painting. The brand has come a long way since then, and now, almost 10 years later, we’re taking a major step by investing in this new space in the heart of Raleigh. It’s going to be amazing.”

The new Wine & Design headquarters is also opening at a momentous time in Raleigh’s history.

“Downtown Raleigh has been growing forever, but a lot of it is being revitalized right now,” Hill said. “There are new businesses in the area and the city is really revamping the Art District, which is where we’ll be. There are fun museums, galleries, and restaurants.”

Today, Wine & Design has more than 80 locations across the country since it was founded. The brand has long-since outgrown its original Raleigh headquarters, Chief Operating Officer Maggie Moon said. She is thrilled about the brand’s next chapter and how the new location will allow the
brand to pilot innovative art projects and campaigns.

“We’ve been stifled in the past by not having a fully-functioning, corporate-owned studio, and we feel strongly that including a studio in our new headquarters will only enhance our brand and our ability to support our partners,” Moon said. “In addition to enhancing operations, we are really
excited about the visibly our new location will bring the brand. Not only will Raleigh residents be more exposed to the brand in our new location, but so will commuters and people traveling through nearby Union Station. Visibility and prominence will only help us meet our long-term goal, which is to be the most preferred venue for fun.”

The startup costs for a Wine & Design franchise range from $69,950 to $221,200. The franchisefee is $25,000. To learn more about franchising with Wine & Design, visit www.wineanddesign.com/franchise
