Remember when you were a kid and you could just dump and splatter paint, and it passed for a masterpiece? As it turns out, it still counts.
A new way of working with acrylics, called the 'acrylic pour,' lets the liquidity of the paint make the image. When we say pour, we literally mean it; we combine different colors and different molds that allowed paint to flow on the canvas in interesting ways. All thanks to gravity, no two pours will look quite the same.
You can then pull or drag the paint to give it texture and depth. Even the bottom of a liter soda bottle can be used to create a flower stencil.
The choice and variety of color creates an effortless and mesmerizing abstract work. Anyone can do it, and everyone has fun.
